I’m pretty famous around these parts for my Chicken an d Veal marsala, which is good, because I’ve never seen it on the menu at a restaurant here.
Tonight however, is Indian food.
Aloo Gobi, Prawn Biryani, M ango C hicken, C hili C hicken, basmati rice and garlic naan. Ordering shortly for pickup.

Love Indian food. It’s my favorite for lent. One of the few cuisines where you don’t miss meat.

Pizza and cider, a match made in heaven. I’d rank this frozen pizza above all chain pizza, and the cider..? Oh boy. It's got some pucker! It's like liquid granny Smith apples + carbonation.

Like the peppercorn sauce.

I am not one of those anti frozen pizza snobs. A good freezer pie is a treat.

Made with extra garlic and with the juices from the mushrooms and steak.

Svend, my mom’s birthday is coming, and she says what she really wants is her Acura detailed. It’s a 2003, and has never been in all those years. I can’t decide if I should take it somewhere and pay or if us kids should do it.
I’ve read your stuff, but I can’t remember where your process and materials are all in one place. Is there a post to point me to? I need to judge whether I have what I need to do it right.

This is where I put my stuff in one place.

What sort of state is it in?
What is the paint like, faded? swirly? well maintained? maintained at all?
Clean wheels with whatever wheel cleaner you have.
I’d go for a snow foam, citrus pre-wash a degreaser along the front, lower half of the sides and rear, pressure wash then followed by a shampoo and rinse to start. Make sure you get around the doors.
Have a look at the paint, if it’s faded and you don’t have a polisher or the time, use a filler glaze, resin polish or similar and then a coat of soft wax or sealant.
Give it a good vacuum, if you don’t have an interior cleaner, use a wet but well wrung out microfibre and a small amount of all purpose cleaner and run it over the interior surfaces.

Thanks pal. The cars in my family usually go through an automated wash a couple times a year. That should tell you what you need to know. I can post pics, but you would be advised to brace yourself.

So they are faded?
Do you have a filler glaze such as PoorBoys Black Hole or AutoGlym Super Resin Polish? If you don’t have a cutting polish and polisher.
![]() 07/21/2018 at 23:28 |
|
Not only do I have none of these things, I’ve never heard of them.
![]() 07/21/2018 at 23:35 |

Lol. A filler glaze is a gentle polish that contains resin to fill in the swirls and light scratches, they will still be there but you won’t see them as much until either the resin has degraded under UV light or washed away in the rain and following washes.
Most if not all car centres that stock car cleaning products will stock something along it’s lines.
How far away is your mum’s birthday? What make, model and colour is your mum’s car?

It’s an ‘03 Acura RL I’m navy blue. Her birthday is on July 31. How fast can you get here?
Seriously though, I’ll look for the filler. That’ll help.
![]() 07/22/2018 at 00:07 |

Navy, I’m guessing a solid colour rather than a metallic.
The filler will help, but will only last a couple of months, as I say, the resin breaks down.
If you go into your auto store, ask for a ‘filler polish’ or ‘filler glaze’, or ‘resin polish’.

I’ve put a new post up. Copy the picture and zoom in on the licence plate, at the bottom of the plate is my e-mail address.

No, I think it’s the metallic. And it’s not in terrible shape considering, but it can still use a little help.

Oooo, a hidden message! It’s like being in a real life National Treasure movie. ;).
Thanks man.

I’ve deleted that other post now.
There are a couple of other products you could go for as it’s a metallic.

I don’t really like asking for other people e-mail addresses and rather give mine and it’s up to them if they choose to reply but I also don’t like having my e-mail address other there.
Sort of a mental agoraphobic and a claustrophobic thing.
